A few weeks ago, I was asked to host for an episode… a webisode * Will someone please tell me what something like this is called, please* for Unseen TV. It was the first time that I did anything of this sort – hosting behind a camera.
I have to say, it’s tonnes easier being behind the camera because of all the editing possibilities, compared to when you’re hosting live, and especially when you have you get the crowd to respond to you. Thoooooough, I was still nervous, and looking back on my video, I personally think I’m really stiff and need a lot of work. Hopefully that will improve in time.
What do you guys think?
Back to basketball. The first time I was there, I interviewed a few people including singing sensation, Liang, who asked me if I watched basketball at all, to which I could only, lamely, answer “I watch a lot of One Tree Hill, that counts, right?!”
I can honestly say, I knew NOTHING about basketball. I remember telling the Dealer I didn’t understand the whole game, even if I did play netball in high school, which was obviously not the same thing and he literally flipped out!
He just couldn’t understand how I didn’t understand the game.
Needless to say, though I attended two basketball matches for UnseenTV (the second video I will post up when it’s released) and one more out of my own free will, I do enjoy the sport now and I’m watching more games on Astro in the afternoon now because being courtside was JUST.THAT.THRILLING.
Here are some photos from game #3: KL Dragons vs. Singapore Slingers, after both their loss against Satria Muda BritAma (a mouthful of a name to say, btw) and their triumph over the Philippine Patriots.

Of course the boys brought out their basketball shoes
